British Airways resumes flights to Madeira

From the summer 2015 on, the airline British Airways will resume the flight connection between Gatwick and Madeira.

The marketing of flights began on 24th September 2014 and the operation will begin in the IATA period in summer 2015. British Airways will make available three weekly flights during summer and two during winter.

This operation means an increase of 20,000 places to Madeira Airport and has the support of Aeroportos de Portugal, Associação de Promoção da Madeira and Turismo de Portugal.

The UK is one of the major tourist markets for the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
