Lisbon is opening a new hotel. The project is by José Frazão, administrator in Centro de Exposições da Batalha (Batalha Exhibition Centre), ExpoSalão, who is now investing in the tourism sector, opening a hotel in Baixa Pombalina (downtown Lisbon), along with Lis brand.
Under the supervision of architect João Reino, the hotel was built from a building dating back to 1820-1834, which kept the Pombal architectural design, with special attention to the tile panels and limestone arches in the building. The interior design is by designer Marlene Salgueiro, who was inspired by Lisbon Vintage style.
The hotel is the result of an investment of EUR 7.5 million that will generate directly 22 jobs, announced José Frazão in a statement.
Hotel Lis is located at Douradores street and is a 4 star hotel with a 49-room capacity.
