TAP and Time Out take “A Taste of Portugal” to the USA

TAP and Time Out magazine held an event in New York to promote Portugal and the Portugal Stopover program.

By presenting the “A Taste of Portugal” initiative, TAP and Time Out showcased Portugal in that American city. The event portrayed a stopover in Portugal and had actor Joaquim de Almeida as a guest.

The venue was decorated with typical Portuguese elements and guests were invited to try the best of the national gastronomy, with typical dishes from the North, Centre and South regions, charcuterie and with famous custards pastéis de nata for dessert. All this along wines from the country's various wine regions.

The Portugal Stopover Program has been a communication tool in the North American market by the airline, which promoted the program in the months of July and August, with publicity in 400 taxis and 61 bus stops in New York and 17 digital panels in Toronto.
