Upcoming World Meetings Forum editions head to Los Cabos

The seventh edition of the World Meetings Forum is taking place in Los Cabos, from 8th to 10th July.

The three following editions of the World Meetings Forum will be held in Los Cabos, Mexico. The first is from July 8th to 10th at the Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos, where more than 100 brands from the events sector, 26 national and international destinations and 25 speakers, secretaries of tourism and opinion leaders are expected.

Mexico thus conquers another event. Data indicate that the country hosts more than 265 thousand annual events, which in total count on 29 million participants and generate a revenue equivalent to 1.5% of GDP. For Rafael Hernández, chairman of the World Meetings Forum, although the sector has a significant presence in the country, "it is still necessary to continue to strengthen the value chain, not only in Mexico, but also in the rest of the continent."

Rodrigo Esponda, Los Cabos Tourism general director, points out that "business tourism is an engine of economic growth in Los Cabos," which annually receives more than 6,500 meetings with the participation of 300 thousand people, representing 14% of the total number of visitors to the destination.

The World Meetings Forum 7th edition will feature a business and learning program, and networking and social contribution moments. This year's guest country is Dominican Republic, the Caribbean's most popular destination, thanks to its eight international airports and 80,000 hotel rooms.
