Two second places and a third one is the balance of another Portuguese participation in the European Best Event Awards (EuBea). 

The distinction, delivered last June 19th at the Portuguese Embassy in London, is by British magazine Business Destinations (BD), published in association with American Express. 

The balance for the Portuguese agencies in this year's edition of the European Best Event Awardshas resulted in two winners, with a gold and a bronze award.

Turismo de Portugal (Tourism of Portugal) won the World Travel Awards 2015, known as the "Tourism Oscars" in the category of best European Official Tourism Agency (Europe's Leading Tourist Board).

Alfândega-Porto Congress Centre was considered "Best Meetings and Conference Centre – Europe" for the second time in a row, according to Business Destinations magazine, a quarterly publication, edited by American Express in partnership with Association of Corporate Travel Executives.

The International Airport of Guararapes Gilberto Freyre, in Recife, was elected the best in the country by passengers in the Prize Airports + Brazil 2015

InterContinental Palácio das Cardosas Hotel, in Porto, won three awards at the annual gala of the InterContinental Hotels Groups (IHG), "Best Performance", "Best General Manager" for Eric Viale, and "Best Market Share".

Alfândega Porto Congress Centre received the IPACO (International Association of Professional Congress Organisers) Best National Supplier 2014.

Events by tlc announced in a statement the distinction of SME Excellence 2014, awarded by Turismo de Portugal.

The stand was created by the Portuguese company Multilem.

Parques de Sintra – Monte da Lua (PSML) was awarded in the last 6th December with the World Travel Award for "World's Best Leading Conservation Company"

Holiday Inn Porto Gaia won for the second consecutive year the Torchbearer Award  

Turismo de Portugal (Tourism of Portugal) won the prize for best stand at EIBTM in Barcelona 

 

Portugal won 16 European awards and two for the Mediterranean area at the World Travel Awards - Europe, known as the "Oscars of tourism".
