The director of the Polish Convention Bureau was named Most Influential at the Conventa awards.
"I still can't believe it," Aneta Ksiazek told Event Point after being recognised as the Most Influential in the events industry by Conventa. As well as being delighted to have been recognised by her peers, the director of the Polish Convention Bureau, who has more than 25 years' experience in the field, says it's also the result of many years of hard work.
See all the winners.
The Convention Bureau has now closed a major campaign: "Poland, More Than You Expected", which shows how the country has modern hotels, great congress centres, excellent hospitality and professionals to organise events. Culturally, Poland has a lot to offer - just think that Frederic Chopin was born here - and, in natural terms, the country is known for its diversity, which makes it very attractive for incentives.
For the meetings industry, Warsaw and Krakow are the most recognised cities, not least because of their accessibility, but Gdánsk is on the rise and cities like Wroclaw, Poznan and Lodz are growing.
And after so many years working to promote Poland, she still feels passionately about it. "There are ups and downs, but with the support of the team it's easy." And it's a source of pride to see how the country has evolved in terms of tourism in recent years.
At Conventa for the second time, Aneta Ksiazek praises the spirit and atmosphere of the fair, the concept of the event and the quality of the buyers. "We have good prospects," she believes.
