Cape Verde is the guest international destination at BTL, The Portuguese Tourism Fair, which runs from 28 February to 3 March at FIL - Parque das Nações.

"Cape Verde is a very special destination for Portuguese travellers. Welcoming it as a guest international destination at BTL 2024 is a way of celebrating the close and long-lasting link between our two markets," said Dália Palma, manager of the tourism fair, in a press release.

She adds that BTL will offer Cape Verde "a prominent platform to develop commercial synergies with various players in Portuguese tourism, but also a privileged space to promote the destination's novelties and make direct contact with the consumer".

"There's a lot to discover in Cape Verde - and we're sure that the archipelago's return to BTL, in a prominent position, will be a way of strengthening our value proposition for tourism professionals and consumers," emphasised Dália Palma.

Cape Verde is a tourist destination with growing visibility, attracting visitors from all over the world. The archipelago's beaches are real picture postcards and offer ideal conditions for water sports. The streets echo with the sounds of morna and funaná and Cape Verdean cuisine is a fusion of African, Portuguese and Creole flavours.

The archipelago has a lot to discover, from the imposing landscapes to the trails and dormant volcanoes. And the different islands have their own personality, from the hustle and bustle of Santiago to the tranquillity of Santo Antão. Cape Verde has gained prominence on the international scene through an up-to-date and competitive promotion strategy, emphasises BTL.
