The Meetings Show extends its international reach for 2019

The Meetings Show is set to return to Olympia London this month and the organizers prepared a show with a stronger international focus than ever before, thanks to new and expanding exhibitors from around the world.

This year visitors to the show will notice a substantial increase in international exhibitors as they walk the show floor, with stand space taken by non-UK exhibitors increasing 18% year-on-year.

The growing international presence at the show is partly due to the 23 destinations and partners exhibiting at the show for the first time, including Jordan Convention Bureau, Philippines Tourism Board and Barbados Tourism. These international destinations will join more than 700 exhibitors for the show, where they will have the chance to attend pre-scheduled appointments with event planners attending on the hosted buyer programme.

Commercial director Ross Barker said: “Growing our international exhibitor base has been a key focus in recent years, so I am delighted to see so many new destinations joining The Meetings Show in 2019. After revamping the show last year with a new two-day format, all of our exhibitors are seeing an even better return on their investment and time out of the office, which has resulted in many increasing their physical presence with larger stands. For event planners, The Meetings Show offers all the inspiration they could need for planning events in the UK around the world, along with networking opportunities and an exciting education programme that makes it an unmissable event.”

The Meetings Show will tak place on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 June at Olympia London.
