Artificial intelligence (AI), sustainability and high-quality content are at the top of the main trends for 2025, according to Eventex.
AI and technology will continue to shape the events industry next year and beyond; sustainability in events is becoming “non-negotiable”; and attendees are looking for more high-quality content and memorable events. These are the main highlights of the Eventex trends report for next year, which you can find here.
The document brings together the contributions of the Eventex Awards 2025 jury, which includes some influential figures from the events industry, such as association leaders, convention bureau representatives, industry journalists, influencers and opinion leaders.
The Eventex report presents the ten main trends that will have an impact on the events industry in 2025.
Well-being: attendees should have more time to socialize; events should incorporate mindfulness activities and motivation techniques; and the very definition of well-being is expanding to include more elements.
Personalization: attendees expect a personalized experience at events; technology will aid personalization; and personalized gifts and wellness experiences are becoming a must.
Personal connections and community: face-to-face meetings should increase; organizers should start 'selling' feelings and a sense of belonging, rather than just events and experiences; and attendees will be eager to have a community around events.
Inclusion: events should be created where everyone is welcome; and gender-neutral toilets, sensory-free areas, accessible ramps, etc. should be provided for true inclusion and accessibility.
Boutique events: an increase in small meetings and events is expected; and a greater demand for curated, exclusive and single-purpose events.
Data-driven decisions: data will be used to create personalized and more inclusive experiences; also to calculate the ROI of the event and its impact; and will enable better decisions to be made in real time to improve the quality and outcome of events.
