IT&CM Asia will be held from 24 to 26 September in Bangkok, an experienced MICE destination for global events.
According to the annual ranking by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), Bangkok ranks 15th in the world and 4th in the Asian region, with 88 face-to-face meetings taking place in 2023. The Thai capital dropped from 32nd place in the world list in 2022.
After the years of the pandemic, Thailand has also risen in the ICCA rankings, from 32nd in the world and 7th in Asia (with 81 events in 2022) to 26th in the world and 6th in the Asian region (with 143 events in 2023).
It was therefore no wonder that the ICCA held its congress in Bangkok in November last year, expressing confidence in the destination's MICE industry's ability to host its annual meeting. It was the third time the congress had been held in Thailand, the second time in the capital.
As Southeast Asia's leading metropolis, Bangkok has extensive experience in hosting numerous international meetings. It is a world-renowned tourist and business destination with smart urban development, welcoming infrastructure, world-class congress facilities, a wide variety of accommodation and gracious Thai hospitality,’ announced the ICCA in March 2022.
IT&CM Asia, the international event dedicated to the MICE industry, has not overlooked the choice of Bangkok year after year, highlighting the Thai capital's capacity for hospitality.
‘With top infrastructure such as ultra-luxurious international five-star hotels, an efficient transport system and large shopping centres, Bangkok is the ideal MICE city for mixing business with pleasure, maximising value for money for companies. Despite the city's rapid economic growth, its gentle and charming Thai hospitality remains unchanged, earning it the title of ‘The Land of a Thousand Smiles’,’ reads the IT&CM Asia website.
