Multilem was honored in China with two awards for the Lai Ba Saudi Travel Festival, which attracted more than 500,000 visitors.

The Portuguese brand experience company won two international awards with the Lai Ba Saudi Travel Festival. Multilem won the awards for Best Cross-Border Marketing Case (2023-2024), awarded by Advertising Billboard, and for Annual Tourism Promotion Abroad, by Jiemian News.

The Lai Ba Saudi Travel Festival, held at the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, was the first B2C event to be held at this culturally and historically significant site, in an experience that united tourism and innovation.

“The international recognition we have received in China is a direct reflection of the talent, creativity and dedication of our team. This project was an ambitious challenge that allowed us to demonstrate Multilem's ability to create truly transformative brand experiences with a global impact. It is a source of pride to see a Portuguese company like Multilem present on international stages and to show that national innovation and excellence can compete with the best in the world,” said Luís Matos Chaves, managing director of Multilem Europe, in a press release.

Developed in partnership with the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), the event attracted more than 500,000 visitors and generated a reach of 1.2 billion media impressions. During the eight days of the festival, the Multilem team transformed 7,000 square meters of the Temple of Heaven into a cultural celebration that combined live shows, interactive activations and immersive exhibitions.

This event highlighted the destinations of Diriyah, AlUla and Jeddah. And the results exceeded expectations: more than 86,000 contacts were made and 5,400 travel packages were sold, helping to strengthen Saudi tourism in strategic markets and consolidate Saudi Arabia's international presence.
Since 2019, Multilem has collaborated with STA to promote Saudi Arabia's cultural and tourist wealth on five continents. This recognition not only reinforces the global impact of the creative and logistical solutions developed by the company, but also positions Multilem as one of the world's leading players in the creation of large-scale immersive experiences, the statement adds.
