Hotel schools in Angola and Cape Verde sign partnership agreement

A delegation of the Escola de Hotelaria e Restauração of Talatona (Hotel and Catering School), Luanda, is in Cape Verde from 27th January, for a visit that will culminate in the signing of a partnership agreement with its local counterpart, reports Agência Lusa. According to a press release from Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo de Cabo Verde (EHTCV), cited by the agency, the visit aims to "foster the partnership relationship between the two institutions and to formalize a partnership protocol based especially on the experience exchange and technical assistance in various areas related to training in the hotel sector, catering and tourism." The ceremony will be presided by the Minister of Youth, Employment and Development of Cape Verde Human Resources, Janira Hopffer Almada.
The Escola de Hotelaria e Restauração of Talatona was created on November 11th 2011 and it is an institution of technical vocational education. It offers courses in areas such as event organization and management, food and beverage, hotel maintenance management, tourism businesses marketing and food hygiene and safety.
