There are five new members in the European National Convention Bureaux, including Portugal, represented by Turismo de Portugal (Tourism of Portugal). The others are Italy, Ireland, France and Latvia. In total, the European National Convention Bureau has 22 members.

This strategic alliance was announced at IMEX America in 2014. It was formed to share information and knowledge among member countries. Within this alliance, there are currently several projects being discussed, such as a joint study about the Chinese market.

Matthias Schultze, Director of the Convention Bureau of Germany, and Eric Bakermans, Marketing Director of Holland Meetings, Conventions And Events, commented on the group's behalf that "we are delighted to welcome five new members in our informal group of national convention bureaux. The benefits of this alliance are many: knowledge sharing and cooperation to strengthen the position of each individual member, and Europe, as a leading destination for events around the world."

Included in this alliance are the following countries: Germany, Austria, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Montenegro, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Serbia and Switzerland. In September, members are meeting in Budapest.
