Lufthansa City Center annual summit with "super positive" results

The annual Lufthansa City Center (LCC) summit brought together 255 operators and travel agents from all over the world from 12 to 15 June in Braga and Guimarães.

The global meeting was organised by DMC Clube Viajar, an LCC member in Portugal, with the support of Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal. Mariana Morais, sales manager at DMC Clube Viajar, believes that the "event went really well".

"The outcome is super positive because, as well as welcoming more than 75 different nationalities of participants, it was the best way for us to showcase not only our services as an incoming partner in Portugal, but also Portugal as a country with incredible infrastructures for events of this size," says Mariana Morais, speaking to Event Point.

The LCC event brought together 255 participants, "which was incredible" since "we had almost all the members of the network here". There were days of business meetings, workshops, networking and conferences. "It was also excellent for LCC and all the members of its network to have the opportunity to do business and network with each other," adds Mariana Morais, who says she has already received four requests "just because we organised this summit here".

The event was held in Braga and Guimarães and this "showed even more about Portugal and that you can really organise very nice events outside the most famous and sought-after cities, so to speak".

In a post on LinkedIn, Mariana Morais had already considered the event a success. "As a member, it was a dream come true to bring this prestigious event here! I'm thrilled to share that the summit was a resounding success! It was a joy to see our community come together and I couldn't be prouder of what we achieved."

The event was brought to Braga and Guimarães by Turismo do Porto e Norte de Portugal, together with DMC Clube Viajar, with the support of Turismo de Portugal and the municipalities of Braga and Guimarães.
