Gerd De Bruycker is the Best Event Awards 2018 Jury President

Gerd De Bruycker, Cisco Systems Marketing Director, was chosen to chair the jury of the Best Event Awards.

He will lead a team of marketing managers from several multinational companies and representatives of event agencies associations from all over the world.

The choice was announced during the BEA World Advisory Board Meeting, which took place between 3rd and 6th March in the Azores. “I am very honoured to be chosen for the second time in three years as the Jury President of the Best Event Awards”, said Gerd De Bruycker, adding that “I accepted to take on this role following my passion for the events and live communication industry, as well as my passion to learn and be inspired by fantastic projects”.

The new president of the jury, who had already performed the job in 2016, specialises in event marketing as part of the team responsible for Cisco's top events in the region, such as Cisco Live. Before joining Cisco seven years ago, he worked for nearly a decade at Microsoft in the event marketing area.

The Best Event Awards will take place in Coimbra, which is hosting this year's BEA World Festival, from November 21st to 24th.
