IFEMA has recently build a new Exhibition Hall, which joins the 12 that make up the Feria de Madrid Exhibition Centre. It was inaugurated in October, expanding IFEMA's space and its ability to accommodate all kinds of events.

This hall differs from the others that make up the complex. It is designed around a new layout and using materials that differentiate it from the rest. The space is located on the esplanade behind Hall 5 and measures 55 x 85 metres. It has 4,675 square metres of floor space, plus 150 square metres of corridors connecting it to Hall 5. It measures seven metres in height at its lowest point, rising to a height of 14 metres at its highest. Hall 5.1 is also fully equipped, including access ramps for people of reduced mobility.

A total of €2.8 million was earmarked for the construction of Hall 5.1, as part of the 2018 global investment plan, which encompasses a total of €25 million. Over the next 5 years, IFEMA’s Strategic Plan includes an expected investment of €100 million for the improvement and installation of infrastructure, communications, digitalisation and security.
