Meo Arena is now Altice Arena

Altice Arena is the new name of Meo Arena.

The rebranding was done by the Altice brand, the new naming sponsor of the venue and was presented on October 16th, the day the Arena received a major event of the brand. Its website and social networks profiles already transmit the new name and image of the space. All the rest stays the same, a source of the venue refers.

Altice Arena is one of the most important venues in Portugal. The space was built between 1996 and 1998 for Expo98, which took place in Lisbon that year. Located next to the Tagus River, the venue has an arena with 5,200m2 and capacity for 12,500 people seated. It hosts all kinds of events, from concerts to sports events, congresses and conventions.

Altice is one of the most recent players in the sector in Portugal, after having bought Portugal Telecom. The company is pursuing a process of brand uniformity in all its assets.
