The Michelin Gala is taking place in Portugal for the first time. The event, so far being held in Spanish cities, is taking place at the Carlos Lopes Pavilion in Lisbon on 21st November.

Asked by Lusa news agency, Economy Minister Manuel Caldeira Cabral said that "government support is a little over 400,000 euros from Entidade Regional de Promoção do Turismo de Lisboa and Turismo de Portugal" and that this investment is expected to generate "a great return to the economy of both the city and the country."
