Prague Congress Centre with scheduled expansion

06/07/2018

The venue operates since 1977 and has been hosting some of the major events in the Czech capital.

In 2022, the Prague Congress Centre is expected to gain a new pavilion of 5,000 sqm, exponentially increasing its capacity to host mega events. Despite being in its 40's, this venue has sought to reform itself over the years. Last year, for example, and to better accommodate the ICCA Congress, a new entrance was built. But there have already been several investments in digital networks and sustainability.

2017 was the best year of this venue, which received 30 associative events, sector where most of its business comes from. Its main markets are: Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and the United States.

In addition to the grandeur of the building, with an impressive view over the city of Prague, there are artworks scattered throughout the space, and a room full of history, which has already received the visits of Barack Obama, former president of the United States, and Leonid Brejnev, a Soviet leader. The room retains exactly the same decor and furnishings that both have found.

Next to the Congress Centre there is a Holliday Inn, a hotel managed by the venue. The hotel has 250 bedrooms and a meeting room for up to 120 people.
