Recife Convention Bureau surpasses goals in 2016

Recife Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) ended 2016 with numbers that the entity considers favourable. A total economic impact of R$18.7 million (5.4 million euros) and a presence of 11,550 people in the events is estimated. The CVB attracted 16 events, four of which are international, and supported another 65, totalling 81 events. Half of the events attracted and supported will take place in 2017, 25% in 2018 and 13% in 2020, another 12% were already held last year.
"In our 15th anniversary, Recife CVB proves with numbers and seriousness of the work developed that it is one of the most active conventions in Brazil", says President Bruno Herbert.
Recife CVB also made technical visits, famtrips, workshops and participated in various national and international events.
For 2017, the focus will remain on capturing events for the state, announces the entity.
