On invitation from Pan Pacific London Hotel and FC Sport Experiences, with the support of British Airways, London & Partners, the iconic Lords Cricket Ground and 'Galvin - La Chapelle' restaurant, London's MICE group sporting capabilities were unveiled to an intimate group of top European buyers, in order to attract sports teams, federations and executives to London's Square Mile, in the future.

Using Pan Pacific London as the group's luxury hotel base, partners curated a high-end itinerary to showcase to buyers how the MICE Sports sector, can be catered for, in every sense of the word.

"London is one of the world's great sporting capitals, continuously hosting every type of event. By matching partners with buyers, relationships will be forged and will cement London's prominent sports event position, well into the future" stated Mike Mahoney, Owner, FC Sports Experiences.

Locationally, the Pan Pacific hotel is a mere 2-minute walk from London Liverpool Street Station, a major transport hub to arrive into and move around London, with great access to landmark sporting venues.

"MICE Sports groups are an increasingly important segment for the Pan Pacific London, so hosting these key buyers is a step towards bringing this valuable niche to our property" mentioned Thomas Holden, Sales Manager, Pan Pacific London

The hotel is sat on Bishopsgate Plaza, made more distinctive by a glass canopy, which is a private entrance to the hotel's largest MICE space, the SMART 'Pacific Ballroom' home to three huge state-of-the-art digital screens and a room capable of holding up to 400-people in theatre style.

Complimenting these facilities are further meeting spaces on floors 3 & 5. By the side of the hotel, a coach drop-off point leads to a dedicated entrance, reception and lift for teams/groups to check-in, both securely and quietly, before heading to rooms.

The hotel's fusion of Singaporean and British architecture, interior design, F&B and service, all equates to tranquil and sumptuous guest experiences.

Buyers were impressed by the adaptability and size of the meeting spaces, but also the spacious bedrooms, rising to the 19th floor. Another key feature is the 4th-floor Sensory Spa and 18.5m infinity pool, complete with treatment, sauna and steam rooms, alongside a modern gym. Beside the reception, comfortable lounge areas morph into co-working options.

With similarly impressive feedback from buyers, an incentive experience organised at Lord's Cricket Ground, a British sporting institution dating to 1814, involved a taster Cricket session and grounds tour, taking in the historic pavilion followed by lunch in 'The Willow', showcased corporate hospitality options which met every expectation.

Pan Pacific hotel's dining options 'Straits Kitchen', private dining rooms, plus innovative and Asian-inspired cocktails served from their Ginger Lily Lounge & Bar and also, from the adjoining Devonshire House, Silverleaf Bar, brought together a milieu of Anglo-Asian flavours, whilst the nearby 'Galvin at La Chapelle' restaurant added Michelin-starred glamour to the trip in historic surroundings.

"This was a wonderful trip, opening our eyes to a variety of partners and options who we can already envisage our clients potentially using. We are focused this year on expanding our slate of events in the UK, which adds to the importance of our attendance" Eoin Conlan - Abbey Events, concluded.
